Journey through Connemara, using food as your guide. Visit an island off the coast where you can try your hand at making traditional brown soda bread in a charming cottage, and keep what you create.

 

Explore the beautiful Kylemore Abbey and its Victorian Kitchen Gardens. For an extra treat, you have the option to visit an Irish whiskey distillery, where you’ll learn about Connemara’s distilling heritage, from local poitín to fine whiskey, sampling along the way.

 

Alternatively, consider visiting an oyster farm to taste some of the finest oysters grown on Ireland’s West Coast.

9:00 AM - Depart Galway

  • Travel along the Connemara Coast to an island farmhouse.

 

Island Farmhouse Experience:

  • Try your hand at making traditional Irish soda bread.
  • Immerse yourself in the rhythm of island life and explore the Connemara Gaeltacht, a designated Irish-speaking region.

 

Kylemore Abbey:

  • Visit the beautiful Kylemore Abbey.
  • Stroll around its walled kitchen gardens.

 

Optional Add-On:

  • Visit an Irish distillery to discover Connemara’s distilling heritage, from local poitín to fine whiskey. This can be scheduled at the beginning of the day and is highly recommended.
