9:00 AM: Meet and greet in Galway.

 

  • Visit the seaside village of Kinvara, with a stop at Dunguaire Castle, an excellent example of an Irish tower house jutting out into the Doorus Peninsula. Drive along the scenic coast road as it ascends towards the Cliffs of Moher, offering breathtaking views of Galway Bay, the Aran Islands, and the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Lunch at a traditional Irish pub in Doolin.
  • Explore the seaside village of Doolin, with a stop at a traditional Irish pub before returning via the Burren uplands.
  • Discover the Burren uplands and Corcomroe Abbey, where you'll learn about early Christian monasticism in the Burren.
  • Visit The Burren Perfumery, meet the makers, and experience the beauty of the Burren uplands up close.
  • View the Poulnabrone Dolmen, an ancient Neolithic site dating back 6,000 years, and learn about the lives of the early people of the Burren.
  • Stop at Lemaneh Castle, the home of the infamous Maire Rua, before visiting Kilfenora and the spa town of Lisdoonvarna.
